Company History
Mortagy and Partners was established in 1935 as an import and export distributor.
Mortagy and Partners prospered in the Middle East, and was recognized as one of the best outfit (import and export distributor) in Egypt for many years. It was not until 1962 that the company was bout out by one of its founders and share holder; MR. Abdelaziz Mortagy senior.
MR. Mortagy merged his newly acquired company with “A LA BELLE JARDINIERES” a privet entity he established in 1956.It was not until 1979 that MR. Abdelaziz Mortagy senior decided to step down and hand the company over to his son; MR. Alaa Mortagy.
MR. Alaa persistent effort and strive for continues success led him to acquire another company “MASH” in 1985. As the demand for more American products amplified “A LA BELLE JARDINIERES” now under MR. Alaa’s management opened a new office the United States and renamed to American Star inc. in 1995. |
